(54) Cable system

(57) Assembly comprising a cable (400), a first connector (600) that engages onto the cable (400) and a separate second connector (90) for engagement onto the cable (400), wherein the cable (400) extends in its longitudinal direction (E) between two opposite head sides (625) of the first housing (623), wherein the first housing (623) at at least one of the longitudinal sides extending between the head sides (625) is provided with a recess-bounding insertion framework (630) within which the cable (400) at the location of the control current conductors (60) extends freely, wherein the second connector (90) comprises a second housing (91) and second electrical contacts that cut through the jacket (401), wherein the second connector (90) is adapted for placement within the insertion framework (630) and by means of the second electrical contacts cutting through the outer jacket (401) of the cable (400) to come into electrically conductive contact with the control current conductors (60).
