Single-direction door construction with emergency passage facility in the other direction,
method of converting an existing door into such a door construction, and fastening
set for implementing said method |
(57) A single-direction door construction is provided with a door frame (22,24,26) having
a vertically oriented hinge arrangement (50,52) which allows the door (21) to be opened
in a first direction of rotation. Furthermore, the hinge arrangement enables the door
to be opened in a second direction of rotation for use as an emergency passage.
In particular, a combination of the door frame and a vertically oriented stop bar
(32) fastened to the side of the door frame opposed to the hinge arrangement serves
as an obstruction against opening in the second direction of rotation below a first
pushing force exerted on the door, whereas above said first pushing force the stop
bar (32) can be forced from its fastening in a reversible manner such that the obstruction
is lifted.
