Object of the Invention
[0001] The present invention, as its title suggests, refers to an ejector for cut sheets
of cardboard, for flat stamping presses or autoplaten press. The invention concerns
both the male ejector, or part called ejector tool, and the female part of that ejector,
both in order to ensure cleaning of leftover cuts on cardboard sheets or similar products,
the kind which are used primarily in the packaging sector, such as boxes or packing,
displays, or derivatives thereof.
Background of the invention
[0002] This ejector is intended for a flat stamping press or an autoplaten press, in which
both male and female parts, are flat and the displacement of the male is perpendicular
to the plate, so that with modern machines punching achieves high accuracy and perfect
timing in registering the male with the female part in cleaning or removing cuts.
In a first phase the die properly speaking acts itself carrying out all the cuts expected
in one action, then the sheet already cut passes to a second stage where is the male
ejector and the central plate or female ejector, where the punched sheet is positioned
precisely above the female ejector, so that the autoplaten press activates the mechanisms
necessary for the male ejector drops and impacts on the cardboard sheet, pushes and
separates discriminately not only the leftover generated in both windows or inner
holes but also the peripheral excess designated as leftover cuts or leftover cardboard
material.
[0003] An ejector is composed of: a male base, which presents a surface, preferably of wood,
in which strips of different types of strips are fitted, with or without teeth, blocks
can be wooden, plastic or metal spikes or punches and all of them non-cutting; All
these elements have the task of pushing and removing from the punched sheet the material
sections or areas called (cutout or excess material), for recycling if it is permitted.
A bottom plate, technically called Central plate expulsion, it constitutes the called
female ejector; this plate is manufactured in a material of carbon steel scaled for
extreme cases or weak areas, or in wood, and presentes peripherally the form of a
positive offset or expanded, corresponding to those practiced in the cardboard, or
so that cuts pass through them when they are pushed by the ejection elements located
in the above-mentioned male base.
[0004] As the male ejector is concerned, the problem with this action is the possibility
of jams in the expulsion of the cuts, motivated by the fact that the cardboard on
the male side, is only holded and supported in certain areas in which these foam blocks,
natural rubber or similar material that have to hold and retain the sheet, are placed.
While not cutting strips and strip pushers penetrate the cuts in female side, and
having to drop out there all leftover cardboard cutouts, giving way to the blade cleanly
in the end zone of the die.
[0005] Delimiting the outliner of the punched sheet, in the traditional male parts are attached
immovably to the base of the male ejector. Parts that sometimes the operator of the
cutting machine has to move roughly and mainly through hitting them with a hammer
slightly, getting them closer or away from the steel strips to get the cardboard cutout
is aligned in the right proportion.
[0006] These elements, strategically placed, have to push and pull the outer perimeter outliner
and shaped windows or inner holes entirety; for this now is necessary to place a very
high percentage, a series of punches lower expulsion, in an area of the die that is
just below the female ejector, which carries a telescopic grilled spikes to follow
the cut and effectively drops. Placing these punches is done manually, placing the
driver or machine operator of the stamping press inside the maquine, to go placing
them in all cuts to expel. Also comment that there is a lot of presses or autoplate,
which do not have this lower grill spikers.
[0007] As for the central ejection plate or female cleaner is concerned, when the blank
sheet has an irregular perimeter outliner, and reaches the body or area where the
female cleaner is located, the area of perimeter cuts hangs by a mini attachment points
, the operator previously given to strip die strategically, so that the blank sheet
not disassemble during scrolling through th stamping press clips or autoplate press
that holds the cardboard sheet. In many cases this is a reason to stop the machine
and considerable loss of time, because the operator has to give with great skill and
ability, the thickness and exact position of the point, so that it would be as accurate
as to hold during displacement but allows to break, when the male pushers take action.
[0008] Document
DE 10 45 778 B discloses a punching machine for sheet material, such as cardboard, pamper, or the
like. Arc means grip bars from the worksite where the sheet is punched to be supplied
to at least one other site where the waste must be discarded. The punching machine
has at least two releasable individual units arranged one behind another with ejector
sets (B, C, D) connected downstream of the drive means of the machine.
Description of the invention
[0009] This new system cuts-ejection of the male ejector or upper expulsion tool, is ensuring
cleaning or the expulsion of complete cuts, preventing loss and optimizing time, since
this action is not necessary placement female telescopic ejector below the spikes.
The invention also aims to correct the previously mentioned problems: firstly get
hold the blank sheet of cardboard in all its inner surface, for tenths of a second
before the tooling ejector impact occurs, acting the suitable pushers, which acts
as pusher cuts. The second object of the present invention consist of to provide certain
mobility to the parts which delimit the outliner of the male ejector, so that by loosening
and tightening a screw, the operator can place them accurately tight in the desired
position, without the need to hit them as today.
[0010] To achieve these objectives the male ejector presents the active face at the same
height in which pusher cuts , when they are in the rest position a manufactured wooden
base or high density foam or compressible, which presents a profile or silhouette
of the stamped sheet, saving and allowing it to be crossed by strips or pushers spikers.
[0011] This sheet or plate, also invades if not wholly, a large surface areas to expel or
push, in order to retain and keep up the cut and forcing it out of the area of the
female that corresponds. Besides that the first major innovation contains as second
major incorporation, which allow the elements or parts that expel the perimeter outliner,
go with a system that allows moving and adjust to the needs of each die and material
as in machine operator considers there to zoom in, out, up or down.
[0012] That plate is mounted in parallel with the male base through several telescopic centering
elements, which have internally a spring which allows compression and therefore the
displacement of the plate get closer to the base which forms the male die, in the
moment of the impact. The above mentioned centering elements are formed by at least
two cylinders telescopically displaced one inside the other, to a position proximate
to the inner base, limiting to the maximum extent distance that has to situated the
plate with respect to the base and compression, introduced one inside the other, leading
to compression of the inner spring to a distance that defines the position of the
plate at the moment of impact for steel strips and the ejectors operating properly.
[0013] Around the flat plate described in the previous section, a number of peripheral flat
plates are situated , which externally delimit the male outliner and internally match
with the profile of the facing area of the front plate and about the steel strips
have to pass between both elements. Each of these peripheral plates is mounted on
a threaded coupling which runs through a slot that is perpendicular to the outer face
of the male, in order to make a millimeter approximation of the corresponding plate
to the steel strips. This threaded coupling also allows height adjustment of these
peripheral plates, either through interposition of a washer, a spring or any other
means to tightening or loosening these screws slightly vary the height of the piece.
[0014] It is planned that all perimeter plates or outliner, that forms the active face of
the male present a rough outer surface to ensure the fastening of the cut, but not
in the central plate which will hold the entire inner surface of the sheet, the outer
face will be coated by a varnish or superfine nonstick finish, avoiding the formation
of marks on the cardboard, in the moment of impact of the central plate of the male
ejector.
[0015] Regarding innovation center expulsion plate or female cleaner, the big news that
incorporates a perimeter frame, which is always greater than the size of the blank
sheet, so that this framework through profiles or crossbars, holds and stabilizes
the punched cardboard sheet, particularly around the perimeter cut, as with the traditional
center plate the cutting is not hold at any time, leaving it free. These mooring profiles
will be placed strategically, so that does not obstruct the perfect expulsion of the
cuts, the only and main object is stabilizing the sheet of cardboard, and that this
rests perpendicular and parallel to the central expulsion plate, so that when the
male ejector pushers act, the blade will be in the best position to be able to avoid
leftover cuts.

Figure 8 corresponds with respective top and side views of a detail of the central
expulsion plate or female cleaner (7), the area in which it presents profiles or crosspieces
(8) that facilitate the removal of cut.
Preferred embodiment of the invention
[0017] As shown in the figures, the male ejector have a base (1), formed by a plate of wood
or other alternative material, which has an identical configuration of the peripherally
cutting as the cardboard sheet, previously stamped with the die, and with preestablished
tolerances, for both the perimeter and the inner zones. Through various peripheral
plates (3) the cutting plants and number plates is defined, to follow precisely and
rigorously this outliner. These plates (3) are varied and are strategically placed
on the sides, mainly in number of two for each side, to allow move slightly to the
inside and outside, up and zero line so as to fit them millimetrically to the position
that the machine operator sees , as to the distance of the cardboard sheet, as regards
the outliner, with respect to the cardboard blank sheet.
[0018] On the base (1) the pushers are fixed at various strategic points (4) to extract
the cuts through holes and windows are going to be done in the cardboard. All these
pushers (4) are at the same level with the peripheral plates (3) and, as the female
expulsion base (not shown) has the same shape as this, the stroke of the male against
it causes the sheet is detached, while cuts are pushed through the windows has in
correspondence to the purpose.
[0019] Coinciding with the area and shape in which the cardboard sheet should be cut , a
plate (2) is placed, fixed to the base (1) of the male ejector throughseveral centering
elements (5), so that it is flush with the peripheral plates (3). This plate (2) also
has the same shape and the female and the gap defined on the base (1) by the plates
(3), except that a sufficient channel is left between them for the passage of strips
uncutting; likewise in the windows (21) also it is provided enough offset or tolerance
to let the strips and pushers pass through (4). This plate is shown in detail in Figure
4.
[0020] Mounting the plate (2) on the base (1) it is done through a several centering elements
(5), each of them has at least two cylinders that move telescopically inside one another,
to a position proximate the inner base, defining to its maximum extent the distance
has to take place the plate (2) with respect to the base (1) and its compression,
introduced one inside the next, leading to compression of the internal spring (51)
to a distance that defines the position of the plate (2) at the moment of the impact
to steel strips and the ejectors (4) act appropriately. These two positions are seen
in Figures 1 and 2.
[0021] A remarkable detail of the invention resides in the peripheral fixing plates (3)
in the base (1), which will be held through a Allen screws (6), which engage in slots
(31) which are perpendicular the edge of the base of the male ejector (1), so that
the operator can easily, to loosen slightly this screw, place each plate (3) independent
at the right distance from strips of steel or other material.
[0022] The plate (2) has a smooth surface and optionally a nonstick finish varnish or superfine,
and the plates (3) preferably have a rough surface, to ensure the grip of the pushing
pieces of cardboard.
[0023] In Figure 7 the central expulsion plate or female cleaner (7), which incorporates
a several windows (71) slightly larger than the cuts made in the cardboard to facilitate
the exit of the cut through them also a perimeter frame (73) is greater than the size
of the punched sheet, so that between it and the female plate (7) itself there is
a gap (72) in which the cardboard precut cardboard sheet remains. In this gap (72),
coinciding with the zones of transversal, cutting profiles or crosspieces are placed(8)
holding sheet and stabilizes the carton blank, especially in the area around the perimeter
cut, as the traditional central plate, The cut does not remain fastened ever, leaving
it flying. These profiles mooring (8), strategically placed, that does not prevent
the perfect expulsion of the cuts, the only and mainly object is stabilizing the sheet
of cardboard, to rests perpendicular and parallel to the Central expulsion plate so
that when acting pushers of the male ejector the sheet is in the best position to
be able to avoid leftover cuts. The fixing of these clamping profiles (8) takes place
through the rear face of the female plate (7), set in two wooden slats (9), which
in turn are fixed to the rear face of this plate, through at least one transverse
screw.
[0024] The invention is only limited by the claims.
