Field of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a vehicle provided with a device for emptying waste containers
according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a vehicle is known from
US-A-5833429. The invention provides a vehicle with which waste containers can be emptied and
cleaned, after which the collected waste can be dumped or separated, further processed
and reused.
Background of the invention
[0002] It is known to collect waste by means of a vehicle provided with a device for emptying
waste containers, for instance into a trough, and displacing waste, for instance by
means of a pressing device, to a body forming a loading space for the collected waste.
The vehicle can be provided with a crane for the purpose of lifting and displacing
the waste containers. The emptied waste containers can also be cleaned here, for which
purpose the device can comprise a sprayer and/or high-pressure sprayer for spraying
cold or hot water.
[0003] For the purpose of driving the crane and the pressing device and cleaning the waste
containers with water the device also comprises technical system components which
can be of hydraulic, electrotechnical, pump-related and/or heating-related nature,
for instance hydraulic cylinders and conduits, electric motors and electrical cables,
a water pump and water conduits, burners for heating water and fans or air pumps for
supplying combustion air to the burners, and generally also a control box. Said components
are usually placed, at least for the greater part, on the front side of the device
because there is no or only very little space available elsewhere for this purpose.
Access to the components is hereby generally difficult, and the space between device
and driver's cab is also limited. In many cases the device must therefore also be
taken off the vehicle for maintenance, repair or testing, wherein hydraulic and electrical
connections must usually also be disconnected and work must then take place with loose
hoses and cables, which is not very practical, laborious and time-consuming.
[0004] There is therefore a need for a solution which does not have the stated drawbacks,
or at least does so to lesser extent. The present invention now provides this.
Summary of the invention
[0005] The invention provides a vehicle of the type stated in the preamble, characterized
in that:
- the vehicle is provided with a crane for lifting, displacing and lowering the waste
containers; that
- the device further comprises cleaning means for cleaning an emptied waste container;
and that
- the trough narrows by at least 50 cm from its upper side to its underside on a side
extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle,
such that on a side of the device there is space for a chamber, adjacently of said
side of the trough and a side of the receiving space connecting thereto, suitable
for placing of the technical system components therein.
[0006] There is thus sufficient space for the technical system components. Furthermore,
the components are in this way always readily accessible from the side of the device
even when the device is placed on the vehicle.
[0007] It will be apparent that relative terms such as "upper side", "underside", "front
side", "extending in" and "side" relate in all cases to a normal mode of use of the
device wherein it is placed on the vehicle, wherein "front" and "rear" relate to respectively
the front and rear side of the vehicle.
[0008] The trough can of course also narrow on the opposite side, wherein the central vertical
plane of the receiving space is then offset in the opposite direction. The chamber
for placing of technical system components therein is then located on the other side
of the device, or the vehicle.
Brief description of the drawings
[0009] The invention is elucidated hereinbelow on the basis of non-limitative exemplary
embodiments and accompanying drawings. In the drawings:
- figure 1 is a first perspective view of a device of the vehicle according to the invention;
- figure 2 is a second perspective view of the device;
- figure 3 is a perspective view of the vehicle provided with the device;
- figure 4 shows a longitudinal section of the device; and
- figure 5 is a perspective view of a part of this device.
Exemplary embodiments
[0010] The figures show a vehicle (2) according to the invention provided with a device
(1). Vehicle (2) is provided with a crane (13) for lifting, displacing and lowering
waste containers (14). Device (1) comprises a trough (4) for receiving and guiding
waste (15) to a receiving space (3), and displacing means, in the shown embodiment
a pressing device (6), for displacing waste from the receiving space to a loading
space (5).
[0011] The device (1) comprises cleaning means (18) for cleaning an emptied waste container.
[0012] The central vertical plane (7) of receiving space (3) in the longitudinal direction
of vehicle (2) is offset (V) at least 25 cm, in the shown embodiment 40 cm, relative
to the central vertical plane (8) of loading space (5) in the longitudinal direction
of vehicle (2). Trough (4) narrows (10) from its upper side to its underside by at
least 50 cm, in the shown embodiment by 80 cm, on a side (9) extending in the longitudinal
direction of vehicle (2). Space is thus created on a side of device (1) adjacent to
said side (9) for a chamber (12) in which technical system components (11) can be
placed, among others in the shown embodiment two burners (16) for heating water for
cleaning waste containers (14) after emptying, and two fans (17) for supplying combustion
air to burners (16).
[0013] The components (11) are of a hydraulic nature, for instance hydraulic cylinders and
conduits, of electrotechnical nature, for instance electric motors and electrical
cables, of pump-related nature, for instance a water pump and water conduits, and/or
of heating-related nature, for instance burners for heating water, and fans or air
pumps for supplying combustion air to burners, and may comprise a control box.
[0014] The technical system components (11) are always readily accessible from the side
of vehicle (2) and device (1), even when device (1) is placed on vehicle (2). It is
not necessary during maintenance, repair or testing to take device (1) off vehicle
(2) and to also disconnect hydraulic and electrical connections and work with loose
hoses and cables, which is much more practical, less laborious and less time-consuming.
[0015] It will be apparent that the vehicle with the device is not limited to the shown
and described exemplary embodiments, but that diverse variants which will be obvious
to a skilled person are possible within the scope of the invention as defined in the
appended claims.
1. Vehicle (2) provided with a device (1) for emptying waste containers (14), which device
(1) is suitable for placing on the vehicle (2), the device (1) comprising:
- a receiving space (3) for receiving waste;
- a trough (4) for receiving and guiding waste to the receiving space (3);
- a loading space (5) for loading waste therein;
- displacing means (6) for displacing waste from the receiving space (3) to the loading
space (5); and
- technical system components (11),
- wherein the central vertical plane (7) of the receiving space (3) in the longitudinal
direction of the vehicle (2) is offset (V) at least 25 cm relative to the central
vertical plane (8) of the loading space (5) in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle
(2);
characterized in that:
- the vehicle (2) is provided with a crane (13) for lifting, displacing and lowering
the waste containers (14); that
- the device (1) further comprises cleaning means (18) for cleaning an emptied waste
container (14); and that
- the trough (4) narrows (10) by at least 50 cm from its upper side to its underside
on a side (9) extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle (2), such that
on a side of the device (1) there is space (12) for a chamber, adjacently of said
side (9) of the trough and a side (19) of the receiving space (3) connecting thereto,
suitable for placing of the technical system components (11) therein.
2. The vehicle (2) as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the components (11) are of a hydraulic nature, for instance hydraulic cylinders and
conduits.
3. The vehicle (2) as claimed in claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the components (11) are of electrotechnical nature, for instance electric motors
and electrical cables.
4. The vehicle (2) as claimed in any of the claims 1-3, characterized in that the components (11) are of pump-related nature, for instance a water pump and water
conduits.
5. The vehicle (2) as claimed in any of the claims 1-4, characterized in that the components (11) are of heating-related nature, for instance burners (16) for
heating water, and fans (17) or air pumps for supplying combustion air to the burners.
6. The vehicle (2) as claimed in any of the claims 1-5, characterized in that the components (11) comprise a control box.
1. Fahrzeug (2), das mit einer Vorrichtung (1) zum Entleeren von Abfallbehältern (14)
versehen ist, wobei die Vorrichtung (1) zum Platzieren auf dem Fahrzeug (2) geeignet
ist und die Vorrichtung (1) umfasst:
- einen Aufnahmebereich (3) zum Aufnehmen von Abfall;
- eine Mulde (4) zum Aufnehmen und Führen von Abfall in den Aufnahmebereich (3);
- einen Laderaum (5) zum Laden von Abfall darin;
- Verschiebemittel (6) zum Verschieben von Abfall aus dem Aufnahmebereich (3) in den
Laderaum (5);
und
- technische Systemkomponenten (11),
- wobei die zentrale vertikale Ebene (7) des Aufnahmebereichs (3) in Längsrichtung
des Fahrzeugs (2) um mindestens 25 cm gegenüber der zentralen vertikalen Ebene (8)
des Laderaums (5) in Längsrichtung des Fahrzeugs (2) versetzt (V) ist;
dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass:
- das Fahrzeug (2) mit einem Kran (13) zum Anheben, Verschieben und Absenken der Abfallbehälter
(14) versehen ist; dass
- die Vorrichtung (1) ferner Reinigungsmittel (18) zum Reinigen eines geleerten Abfallbehälters
(14) umfasst; und dass
- die Mulde (4) sich von ihrer Oberseite zu ihrer Unterseite auf einer sich in Längsrichtung
des Fahrzeugs (2) erstreckenden Seite (9) um mindestens 50 cm verengt (10),
so dass auf einer Seite der Vorrichtung (1) Raum (12) für eine Kammer vorhanden ist,
die an die Seite (9) der Mulde und eine Seite (19) des Aufnahmeraums (3) angrenzt,
der mit ihr verbunden ist und die geeignet ist zum Anordnen der technischen Systemkomponenten
(11) in derselben.
2. Fahrzeug (2) nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Komponenten (11) hydraulischer Natur sind, zum Beispiel Hydraulikzylinder und
-leitungen.
3. Fahrzeug (2) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Komponenten (11) elektrotechnischer Natur sind, zum Beispiel Elektromotoren und
elektrische Kabel.
4. Fahrzeug (2) nach einem der Ansprüche 1-3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Komponenten (11) pumpenbezogener Natur sind, zum Beispiel eine Wasserpumpe und
Wasserleitungen.
5. Fahrzeug (2) nach einem der Ansprüche 1-4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Komponenten (11) wärmetechnischer Art sind, beispielsweise Brenner (16) zum Erwärmen
von Wasser und Ventilatoren (17) oder Luftpumpen zum Zuführen von Verbrennungsluft
zu den Brennern.
6. Fahrzeug (2) nach einem der Ansprüche 1-5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Komponenten (11) einen Schaltkasten umfassen.

dispositif (1) peut être placé sur le véhicule (2), le dispositif comprenant :
- un espace de réception (3) pour recevoir des déchets ;
- une trémie (4) pour recevoir et guider des déchets vers l'espace de réception (3)
;
- un espace de chargement (5) pour y charger les déchets ;
- des moyens de déplacement (6) pour déplacer des déchets de l'espace de réception
(3) vers l'espace de chargement (5) ; et
- des composants de système technique (11),
- le plan vertical central (7) de l'espace de réception (3) dans la direction longitudinale
du véhicule (2) étant décalé (V) d'au moins 25 cm par rapport au plan vertical central
(8) de l'espace de chargement (5) dans la direction longitudinale du véhicule (2)
;
caractérisé en ce que
- le véhicule (2) est muni d'un appareil de levage (13) pour lever, déplacer et abaisser
les conteneurs à déchets (14) ; en ce que
- le dispositif (1) comprend en outre des moyens de nettoyage (18) pour nettoyer un
conteneur à déchets (14) vide ; et en ce que
- la trémie (4) se rétrécit (10) d'au moins 50 cm de sa face supérieure à sa face
inférieure sur un côté (9) s'étendant dans la direction longitudinale du véhicule
(2), de sorte que, sur un côté du dispositif (1), il y a de l'espace (12) pour une
chambre, à proximité dudit côté (9) de la trémie et à un côté (19) de l'espace de
réception (3) qui y est relié, laquelle est appropriée pour y placer les composants
de système technique (11).
2. Véhicule (2) selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que les composants (11) sont de nature hydraulique, par exemple des cylindres et des
conduites hydrauliques.
3. Véhicule (2) selon la revendication 1 ou 2, caractérisé en ce que les composants (11) sont de nature électrotechnique, par exemple des moteurs électriques
et des câbles électriques.
4. Véhicule (2) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, caractérisé en ce que les composants (11) sont de nature pompe, par exemple une pompe à eau et des conduites
d'eau.
5. Véhicule (2) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4, caractérisé en ce que les composants (11) sont de nature thermique, par exemple des brûleurs (16) pour
chauffer de l'eau, et des ventilateurs (17) ou des pompes à air pour alimenter les
brûleurs en air de combustion.
6. Véhicule (2) selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que les composants (11) comprennent un boîtier de commande.
