[0001] The present invention relates to a rectangular ventilating container for a waste
bag suitable to be placed in a framework of a kitchen cabinet.
[0002] Collection of compostable household waste, substantially food waste, is carried out
to a still greater extent. Such waste is composted or utilized for the production
of biogas, which is a renewable energy source. Thereby, in some communes the waste
is collected in plastic bags, but paper bags are substantially used. These paper bags
are standardized having a opening measure of 140 to 150 x 185 to 200 mm and a height
of 310 to 360 mm in an unfolded state. The bottom may be flat or V-shaped. There is
an increased demand for paper bags as these can be part of the eco-circulation system,
either at composting, or at the production of biogas. Plastic bags cause several problems
at the pre-treatment prior to putrefaction as well as recirculation to the arable
land, they need to be separated off as well, whereby great losses of the usable waste
will appear.
[0003] Previously, different containers for the waste bag have been used by the households.
Most often these containers are in the form of a rectangular box or a basket having
an opening in one of its gable ends for introducing a bag therein. The container is
often provided with a number of openings at its sides to provide for ventilation of
the space around the bag to improve drying out of the waste via the bag wall. In some
cases the upper edge of the container is closed to stabilize the upper edge of the
bag and to support the letting down of waste into the bag. The upper edge is often
with maintained edge posts which are stabilized with inclined struts facing down to
a basket unit which stabilizes the bag sidewise.
[0004] US 7,909,200 discloses a wastebasket with or more openings on one or more of its sidewalls in
order to avoid forming a large sealed air space near the bottom of the basket when
placing the plastic bag or removing it from the waste basket. The side walls are made
from a resilient plastic material which will make the upper parts of the side-wall
sections move inwardly towards each other when the open end of the plastic trash bag
is pulled over them holding the trash bag in place.
[0005] Today, different extendable frameworks are used in modern kitchen cabinets, which
frame works run on extendable guides, which frame works are intended to support one
or more waste bags retaining vessels to separate different waste fractions. These
frame works are strictly standardized from each manufacturer, as there is no branch
standard and thereby great demands are put on the containers which are to be used
therein. It has thus been shown that the standard of the bag and thereby the size
of the container has problem fitting in into these new frame works.
[0006] The present invention intends to solve this problem.
SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
[0007] The present invention relates to a rectangular ventilating container for a waste
bag, manufactured of a flexible polymer material, which container comprises a four-sided
bottom basket part provided with four flexible corner posts.
[0008] The term rectangular will also include a quadratic form being a special case of the
rectangle, thus square.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENT INVENTION
[0009] The present invention will be described more in detail below with reference to FIG.
1 which shows an embodiment of the invention seen in a perspective view.
[0010] 1 denotes the four-sided bottom basket part of the container having partially open
sides 2, 3. The openings comprise 30 to 50 % of the respective side area and are arranged
to allow for a good air circulation around a waste bag brought therein. The basket
part 1 is intended to maintain the waste bag manufactured of paper or bioplastic (not
shown). The bottom of the basket part 1 is provided with wave shaped, ribbon-like
carriers 4 which carriers run from side to side. The carriers 4 are wave shaped to
allow for air circulation beneath the bottom of the introduced waste bag and to create
a larger number of resting points for the introduced bag in order to reduce the point
pressure/the load on the bag. In each corner of the basket part 1 a corner post 5
is arranged, which post is only attached at its bottom part 6 to the basket part 1.
This admits that the post 5 can both be bended as well as turned to be able to be
fitted into the different standardized frame works present. In particular one frame
work requires an adaptation of the container in such a way that the corner posts are
pressed towards the centre with a total of 5 to 10 mm. The corner posts 5 comprise
25 to 70 % of the total height of the container, whereby having a larger free height
the said adaptation is facilitated to an intended frame work. Preferably the corner
posts 5 have the shape of a quarter cylinder wall, which facilitates the flexibility
of the corner post.
1. A rectangular ventilating container for a waste bag manufactured of paper or bioplastic,
said container being manufactured of a flexible polymer material and comprising a
four-sided bottom basket part (1) having partially open sides (2, 3) allowing for
air circulation around the waste bag brought therein, four flexible corner posts (5)
attached to said basket part (1) only at their bottom parts (6) allowing the corner
posts (5) to be turned and/or bent for adaptation of said ventilating container into
a frame work of a kitchen cabinet intended to support one or more waste bags and/or
waste bag retaining vessels for separation of different waste fractions, and wave
shaped ribbon-like carriers (4) provided at the bottom of said basket part (1) and
running from side to side to allow for air circulation beneath the bottom of the introduced
waste bag and to create a larger number of resting points in order to reduce the load
on the waste bag.
2. The rectangular ventilating container according to claim 1, wherein openings of said
partially open sides (2, 3) comprise 30 to 50% of respective side area.
3. The rectangular ventilating container according to claim 1, wherein the corner posts
(5) comprise 25 to 70% of the total height of the container.
4. The rectangular ventilating container according to claim 1, wherein the corner posts
(5) have the shape of a quarter cylinder wall.

und einen vierseitigen Korbbodenteil (1) mit teilweise offenen Seiten (2, 3) umfasst,
um eine Luftzirkulation um den darin eingebrachten Abfallbeutel zu ermöglichen, vier
flexible Eckpfosten (5), die nur an ihren unteren Teilen (6) an dem Korbteil (1) befestigt
sind, so dass die Eckpfosten (5) gedreht und/oder gebogen werden können, um den Belüftungsbehälter
in einen Rahmen eines Küchenschranks einzubauen, der dazu bestimmt ist, einen oder
mehrere Abfallbeutel und/oder Abfallbeutelhaltegefäß zur Trennung verschiedener Abfallfraktionen
aufzunehmen, und wellenförmige, bandartige Träger (4), die am Boden des Korbteils
(1) bereitgestellt sind und von einer Seite zur anderen verlaufen, um eine Luftzirkulation
unter dem Boden des eingeführten Abfallbeutels zu ermöglichen und eine größere Anzahl
von Auflagepunkten zu schaffen, um die Last auf den Abfallbeutel zu verringern.
2. Rechteckiger Belüftungsbehälter nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Öffnungen der teilweise
offenen Seiten (2, 3) 30 bis 50% des jeweiligen Seitenbereichs umfassen.
3. Rechteckiger Belüftungsbehälter nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Eckpfosten (5) 25 bis 70%
der Gesamthöhe des Behälters ausmachen.
4. Rechteckiger Belüftungsbehälter nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Eckpfosten (5) die Form
einer Viertelzylinderwand aufweisen.

bioplastique, ledit contenant étant fabriqué en un matériau polymère souple et comprenant
une partie panier de fond à quatre côtés (1) ayant des côtés partiellement ouverts
(2, 3) permettant la circulation de l'air autour du sac de déchets placé à l'intérieur
de celui-ci, quatre montants d'angle souples (5) attachés à ladite partie panier (1)
uniquement au niveau de leurs parties de fond (6) permettant aux montants d'angle
(5) d'être tournés et/ou pliés pour adapter ledit contenant aéré dans un bâti d'un
meuble de cuisine prévu pour supporter un ou plusieurs sacs de déchets et/ou récipients
maintenant des sacs de déchets pour la séparation des différentes parts de déchets,
et des supports en forme de rubans ondulés (4) fournis au fond de ladite partie panier
(1) et s'étendant d'un côté à l'autre pour permettre la circulation d'air sous le
fond du sac de déchets introduit et pour créer un plus grand nombre de points d'appui
afin de réduire la charge sur le sac de déchets.
2. Contenant rectangulaire aéré selon la revendication 1, dans lequel des ouvertures
desdits côtés partiellement ouverts (2, 3) constituent de 30 à 50 % de la surface
latérale respective.
3. Contenant rectangulaire aéré selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les montants d'angle
(5) constituent de 25 à 70 % de la hauteur totale du contenant.
4. Contenant rectangulaire aéré selon la revendication 1, dans lequel les montants d'angle
(5) ont la forme d'une paroi en quart de cylindre.
