where R₁ is hydrogen, alkyl or cyclic alkyl, R₂ and R₃ are each hydrogen, alkyl, a carboxylic acid, ester or amide group or cyano, and R.. R_s and R₆ are each alkyl or aryl, are useful as antihalation dyes and as image dyes in photographic materials for dye-bleaching processes.
