(57) A novel blend of two components: (a) a blend of algin and tamarind and (b) a polycationic electroconductive polymer is used as a paper-coating composition. The paper coated above has improvement in film-forming, reduction in air porosity, and an increase in oil and solvent holdout. The blend is in the form of an aqueous solution comprising 12% Conductive Polymer 261 and 0.4% of a blend of tamarind kernel powder and sodium alginate, 4:1 weight ratio. The coating on the paper will comprise 90-98.4% by weight Conductive Polymer 261 and 1.6-4% by weight of a blend of tamarind kernel powder and sodium alginate, 4:1 weight ratio.
