(57) La cathode selon l'invention comporte un support (1) en graphite pyrolytique et un revêtement émissif (2) constitué d'un mélange de tungstène et d'oxyde de lanthane, le tungstène étant transformé dans sa partie superficielle (3) en hemicarbure de tungstène. L'invention s'applique notamment aux tubes haute fréquence du type triode, tétrode ou pentode.
