(57) An apparatus (10) for making cylindrical polyurethane foam blocks, including an upstanding
trough (12) with a weir structure (32) at the upstream end of a fall plate (14) in
a molding apparatus (10), means for passing a first web (44) of a separation sheet
below the trough (12) and between a gap (50) formed between the weir (32) and the
fall plate leading edge (43), means (52, 54) for forming the first web (44) into a
U-shaped configuration as it advances with the foaming material, and second means
(56, 58) for feeding opposite webs of sheet material immediately upstream of the conveyor
through molding means (63) forforming the cylindrical block.
