(57) A transducer-carriage assembly (10, 16) is shown which includes an intermediate adapter (18) that enables the subassembly to be fabricated in a manner that eliminates the effect oftolerances in the component parts, prior to incorporation into the final assembly, with respect to penetration, pitch and roll of the transducer.
