(54) Carpeting and a method of making carpeting


(57) A method of manufacturing carpeting, said process comprising the steps of forming a body of material from a stack of sheets of non-woven material, said body having at least one end face, compressing the body in at least one direction which lies in the plane of said end face at least in the region of said end face, and bonding together the material of the body at said end face.
