(57) The invention provides a dispensing valve, for the dispensing of liquids such as
beer or wine, the valve having a casing and a valve member which are relatively displacable
to open and close the valve. In one case, the valve member is rotatable relative to
the casing in order to open the valve. The valve mechanism also embodies a miniature
pumping chamber, whereby pumping comprises reducing the volume of the chamber forces
liquid out of the valve in fine jets to create a froth or head when the valve is used
for the dispensing of a drink into a drinking vessel.
