(54) Control mechanism for access equipment


(57) In access equipment of the type in which a working platform or cage is carried at the upper end of a boom assembly comprising a lower boom pivotally mounted on a support structure and an upper boom pivotally connected to the lower boom and in which the pivoting movements are effected by drive means operated by hand levers, stop members are provided associated with the hand levers and the position of the stop members is so controlled in accordance with the angle between the upper boom and the horizontal as to prevent the hand levers being moved into or remaining in operating positions which would increase the angle beyond a predetermined value.
