(57) © A coin-operated entertainment machine, for example a bingo machine, has an enclosed front display area (defined between a back wall [25] and a front glass [5]) which contains apparatus , such as a vdu (26) for displaying randomly selected indicia.
The selection of the indicia is effected by an object which can move at random across the enclosed area.
In a preferred embodiment the object is a ball which can fall downwardly across the front of the vdu.
