(54) Space heating apparatus and valve assemblies therefor


(57) A double line central heating system is provided with separate flow and return valve assemblies (16, 18) for each radiator. Each valve assembly comprises a bypass (91,51) in a horizontally elongated housing portion for connection to the flow and return lines (12, 14) respectively. Modem flexible tubing of soft thin-walled copper or steel or of plastics may be used for the flow and return lines and all joints are readily accessible; joints underfloor or otherwise inaccessible are avoided.
