(54)	Remote manipulators for steam generators

(57) A remotely installed, operated and removed manipulator (20) for a steam generator (10) includes a mast (22) and an articulating arm (36) attached to the mast. The manipulator (20) is capable of operating in the bottom or top head of a once through steam generator or the head (16) of a recirculating steam generator (20). The manipulator (10) provides precise access to tubes (26) and can sustain substantial loads, so that the manipulator can perform much of the tube work that must be performed inside a steam generator.
