(54)	Apparatus for bending sheet material

(57) An apparatus for bending sheet material is provided with a die having at least one longitudinally extending groove and a stamp having at least one linear contact zone for contacting the sheet material to be bent. The die and the stamp are movable towards each other. The die comprises at least one reciprocable die part adapted to define the size and the shape of the groove.
