(54)	A method and a device for bending a wire into a zigzag shape

(57) A wire (10) is bent into a zigzag shape by being clamped at two spaced-apart points while a hook (20) engages a point of the wire midway between the two points and pulls the wire against an abutment (31). One of the points is thereafter displaced linearly towards the other point while the hook and the abutment (31) are being pivoted in a circular arc with the other point as centre of pivotment.
