La tuyère 5 est montée à coulissement libre dans le corps de torche de façon à venir en contact avec l'électrode si la torche est appliquée contre la pièce 16.
En dégageant la torche, un arc s'allume entre électrode et tuyère, puis est transféré vers la pièce.
Application notamment aux torches plasma de faible puissance.
