articulation symbols, and a synthesizing means (60, 70) for reading said unit speech
waveforms corresponding to said articulation symbols of the converted sequence of
articulation symbols from said memory (80) and synthesizing them. The speech synthesizer
requires a comparatively small memory capacity and provides synthesized speech of
high quality.
