After full bobbins arranged in a zigzag arrangement are doffed from the roving frame by means of the bobbin changing machine, distance between bobbins corresponding to distances between bobbin wheels of the roving frame, are changed to the distances between bobbins on the creel of a spinning frame, and vice versa, by means of a lateral distance changing device of the bobbin changing machine. Simultaneous with or after the previous process, the zigzag arrangement of the bobbins is aligned, and vice versa, by means of a front and back distance changing device of the bobbin changing machine.
