(57) © A device (60) for dispensing molten thermoplastic material which an operator grips while using his thumb to press a solid block (24) of the thermoplastic material through a sleeve (20a) and into a heated melting chamber from which the molten thermoplastic material is discharged through a nozzle (21a). The device includes a magazine assembly (62) adapted to hold a stack of thermoplastic material blocks (24) which can be moved seriatim into the sleeve (20a) by reciprocation of a slide (68).
