(54) Personal protection firearm


(57) A firearm for personal protection purposes is provided with is particularly useful in close combat situations. The firearm comprises a support (1) which is preferably in the form of a finger ring which has a barrel (5, 29) defining a chamber (39) and has a trigger operated firing mechanism operable by the thumb of the same hand of a person asthaton which it is worn.
