(57) (57) An ink jet apparatus has a manifold (39) and a matched feed tube (37,38) connecting the manifold with an ink reservoir (40) so as to effectively present the large compliance characteristic of the reservoir at the manifold, thereby enabling a reduced volume print head construction which efficiently reduces cross talk and vibrational problems.
