(54) Improvements in mounting arrangements for vehicle engines

(57) @ A vehicle engine mounting arrangement comprises a mount (13) between the engine (11) and body (10) of the vehicle and a support (14) between the body and suspension system (12) of the vehicle. The mount (13) comprises a flexible annulus (17) and a gas-tight chamber (18). The support (14) comprises a flexible annulus (21) and includes a gas-tight chamber (23). The two gas-tight chambers are in gas communication with each other via a pipe (24). Changes of pressure which are communicated between the chambers act to tend to bring into phase the vibrational movements of the body and engine and hence reduce shake.
