(54) Tundish for continuous casting of free cutting steel


(57) A tundish (2) for continuous casting of a free-cutting steel comprises a molten steel teeming zone into which a low melting metal is added to a molten metal as a machinability element, a dispersing means (7) provided in the flow path of the molten steel between the molten steel teeming zone and a discharge outlet (10) for the molten steel, and a dam (8) installed downstream the dispersing means (7).
