Process for producing N-substituted alpha-amino acids |
(57) Secondary or tertiary alpha-amino acids are providedin high yield in one step by
the reductive amination of glyoxylic acid in a reaction medium comprising glyoxylic
acid, a primary or secondary amine, and water in an atmosphere of hydrogen using a
palladium hydrogenation catalyst.
