(57) 57 An electrical connector comprises a plurality of metal split cylinders (18) each
having an axially extending slot (33) for receiving an insulated wire to form an electrical
connection, and an insulating housing (20) for each cylinder, supporting the cylinder
and including slots (61, 62) on diametrically opposed sides with one slot coaxially
extending with the slot of the cylinder. The housings are aligned in two rows with
the slots thereof aligned transversely to the rows and with the housings in each row
laterally spaced apart to form a plurality of inter housing slots (63) and the housings
in different rows laterally offset.
