(57) There is disclosed a peristaltic pump comprising a substantially rectilinear pinch-deformable tube having an axial direction and tube deforming means extending axially of said tube and movable perpendicularly to said axial direction so as to engage said tube and deform it peristaltically at positions successively displaced in one direction therealong.
