(54) Lens grinding apparatus


(57) A lens grinding apparatus having: a carriage including lens rotating shafts for clamping and rotating a lens to be ground, and a grinding wheel for grinding said lens, said grinding apparatus being characterized in that the box of said carriage accommodates lens-configuration measuring means constituted by, at least one of feelers which can be brought into contact with said lens, and detecting means for detecting the magnitude of travel of said feelers.
