(57) This invention discloses an improved container designed for shipping and storing fresh produce, particularly strawberries. The container (10) includes a substantially rectangular basket-support tray (12) in which a plurality of receptacles (14) are formed to receive baskets (15) therein. A peripheral frame member (48) is fixedly secured to the basket-support tray (12) and is positioned thereon to further define an interlocking arrangement between superposed containers (10) so as to stabilize a group of containers when vertically stacked.
