(54) Coin dispensers


(57) A coin dispenser comprises a dispensing member (8) which can pivot about a substantially horizontal axis (14) located beneath and substantially centrally of a stack (16) of coins so as to engage, shift and dispense the lowermost coin in the stack. The dispensing member (8) is preferably formed by a unit which supports the coin stack (16) and forms with a coin tube (4) containing the stack a sub-assembly removable from a housing (2) of a mechanism containing the dispenser. The dispensing member (8) preferably has an integral extension (30) directly engageable with the armature (12) of an actuator (10).
