    (57) The weldability of Inconel 7l8 material is enhanced by careful control of silicon, columbium and carbon levels. Minimization of the sulfur, phorphorous and boron levels is also a part of the invention it serves to further minimize the microcracking in the heat affected zone which would otherwise be observed.
