    (54) Clean room garments and method of making same

    (57) Substantially nonshedding clean room garments are provided which have a reduced tendency to shed surface particles while retaining good water vapor transmission properties. The garments are comprised of a nonwoven fabric of synthetic fibers which has been coated with from about 2 to about 26 percent of a coating, based on the weight of the uncoated fabric, said amount being sufficient to substantially coat the individual fibers of said fabric on at least one side thereof, without forming a continuous film on the surface of said fabric.
