(57) For operating one or more additional tumblers (17) which (or each of which) extends
parallel to the keyway (8) of a lock cylinder (1), the or each such tumbler (17) has
a projection (N) which projects into the keyway (8) through the side wall thereof.
The key (6) has a recess (E) formed at the end of its blade (7) for receiving the
or each projection (N) when the key (6) is inserted in the keyway (8), the shape of
the recess (E) operating the or each additional tumbler (17) to bring its ends within
the joint line (F) of the cylinder plug (5) and housing (2). Three profile variations
of the recess (E) are proposed.
