    (54) Box-like structure for holding cosmetic products, personal hygiene products and the like

    (57) The box-like structure comprises a central body of substantially parallelepipedal shape, defining a plurality of partitioned recesses for holding the cosmetic and the like products, to the central body a closure element being hinged, which is provided with a wing member overlaying one of the great faces of the central body.

    Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to a box-like structure specifically designed for holding cosmetic products, personal hygiene products and the like.

[0002] As is known, cosmetics products are presently packaged in single small boxes, depending on their types and use.

[0003] In order to make more convenient the use of these products, there are already known several containers, of the box-like type, which are provided with a plurality of partitions or recesses for holding therein a plurality of different cosmetic products.

[0004] These known cosmetic product boxes, however, have a comparatively large size and may hardly be held in small bags.

[0005] Moreover the partitions of known cosmetic product containers are frequently arranged in a rather random and irrational way.

    SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0006] Thus, the main object of the present invention is to overcome the above mentioned drawbacks by providing a box-like structure, specifically designed for cosmetic products, personal hygiene products and the like, which is of very reduced size, while affording the possibility of holding a comparatively large number of cosmetic products and make-up products in general.

[0007] Another object of the present invention is to provide such a cosmetic product box-like structure in which the cosmetic product holding partitions are arranged in the most rational way.

[0008] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a cosmetic products box-like structure which, while having a very reduced size, is so arranged and designed as to provide a plurality of high capacity partitions for holding cosmetic and the like products.

[0009] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a cosmetic product box-like structure which may be made with a reduced number of component parts and is very practical and easy to handle.

[0010] According to one aspect of the present invention, the above objects, as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent thereinafter, are achieved by a box-like structure, specifically designed for holding cosmetic products, personal hygiene products and the like, characterized in that it comprises a central body of substantial parallelepipedal shape, defining a plurality of partitioned recesses for holding said cosmetic products, to said central body a closure element being hinged, which is provided with a wing member overlaying one of the great faces of said central body.

    BRIED DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[0011] Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment of a box-like structure, specifically designed for holding cosmetic products and personal hygiene products and the like, which is illustrated, by way of an indicative example, in the accompanying drawings, where:

    Figure 1 schemtaically illustrates the box-like structure according to the invention, in its closure condition;

Figure 2 illustrates that same box-like structure, the closure member being in its open position; and

Figure 3 illustrates the box-like structure in a completely open condition, for clearly showing all its recesses and spaces for holding the cosmetic products and the like.

    DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0012] With reference to the above mentioned figures, the box-like structure, specifically designed for holding cosmetic products, personal hygiene products and the like, according to the invention, which is overally indicated at the reference number 1, comprises a central body 2, which, preferably, has a flat substantially parallelepipedal shape.

[0013] More specifically, said central body 2 is provided, at its top face or surface, with a plurality of recesses 3 and partitions 4, provided for housing the cosmetic products, as well as make-up products in general.

[0014] It should be apparent that the arrangement and type of recesses and partitions may be modified depending on the type of cosmetic products to be held.

[0015] One of the end side faces of the central body 2 forms the wall 10 of a drawer element 11, which is able of sliding under the region therein the recesses 3 and partitions 4 are formed, so as to provide further seats 12 for housing yet other cosmetic products and make-up auxiliary products.

[0016] The drawer element 11, in particular, may be introduced, in its closure position, inside the central body 2: thereby the box-like structure does not present any projecting portions while providing a further useful surface.

[0017] To the central body 1, at the opposite side to the wall 10, there is hinged, through a pivot-pin 20, a closure element, generally indicated at the reference number 21, which practically defines one end of the central parallelepipedal body 2.

[0018] More specifically, the closure element 21 comprises and end portion 22 which forms an extension of the central body 2, therefrom a wing member 23 extends which, in the closure condition of the box- like structure, overlays the central body 2 and may be snap-engaged with the top edge of the wall 10, so as to provide a firm closure.

[0019] As shown, the end portion 22 defines, in its inside, a recess, indicated at 25, for housing lip sticks, small brushes and other elements having an elongated cylindrical shape.

[0020] Moreover, to the inner face of the wing 23 there is preferably applied a small mirror 26.

[0021] It should be pointed out that the box-like structure according to the invention may also comprise further recesses or partitions for housing man shave products such as reduced size brushes.

[0022] Thus, it should be apparent that the invention fully achieves the intended objects.

[0023] In practicing the invention, the used material, as well as the specific sizes and shapes may be any according to requirements.

[0024] While the invention has been disclosed with reference to a preferred embodiment thereof, it should be apparent that it is susceptible to several modifications and variations all of which enter within the spirit and scope of the appended claims.
