(57) A culture medium is supplied to a culture vessel by providing pressure difference
of a gas by means of which the culture medium is driven into the culture vessel (11).
A culture system for carrying out the method comprises a culture-medium-supply section
(21) for supplying the culture medium to the culture vessel (11), and a gas pressure
supply section (61) for feeding the culture medium from the culture-medium-supply
section (21) into the culture vessel (11) by gas pressure. The culture-medium-supply
section (21) comprises first and second culture supply and collection reservoirs (25a,
25b), a culture-medium-adjusting reservoir (23) provided between the first and second
reservoirs (25a, 25b), flow passages provided for connecting these reservoirs (25a,
25b, 23) and the culture vessel (11), and switching-over valves for the flow passages.
The gas pressure supply section (61) comprises a gas-pressure-producing section (62),
gas-flow passages between the gas-pressure-producing section (62) and the culture-medium-supply
section (21), and switching-over valves for switching over the gas-flow passages.
The gas-pressure-producing section (62) comprises first and second pressure chambers
(63a, 63b) and a compressor (65) for making the pressures different in them.
