(57) A board (1) is provided with a plurality of spaced conductors (11), covered by a
waterproof film (12) on one surface thereof, with a window (13) through the film (12)
exposing selected portions of the conductors (11). A connector housing (2) supports
a plurality of electrical contacts (21) that are brought into electrical engagement
with the conductors (11) through the window (13). A compressible ring (22) surrounds
the housing contacts (21) and the window (13) and is sandwiched between the board
(1) and the housing (2). A spring-biased holding member (3), latched to the housing
(2), urges the board (1) resiliently toward the housing (2), causing the electrical
engagement between the board conductors (11) and the housing contacts (21) and also
compressing the ring (22) around the window (13) to provide a waterproof seal around
the electrical junctures.
