    (57) Protective helmets for motor-cyclists and/or motorists consisting of high density composite materials,es­sentially based on a polyisocyanuric matrix, having a density equal to or higher than 500 and preferably than 1,000 kg/m³, containing reinforcing fillers, wherein the polyisocyanuric matrix derives from a repeating structural unit having the formula:

    wherein at least one X group represents the group -R₁-NCO and at least one X group represents the group:
        -R₁-NH-CO-OR₂(-OCO-NH-R₁-NCO)n.
