Oxygen alkali extraction process for producing bleached pulp |
(57) Oxygen alkali extraction of pulp in a multi-stage bleaching sequence is accomplished
in the absence of a dynamic mixer for mixing oxygen with pulp yet obtaining desired
pulp brightness and/or reduced chlorine-based chemical consumption, by intimately
mixing oxygen with the alkaline pulp at a point before or within the alkaline pulp
bleaching stage of the sequence, in the presence of a co-oxidant.
