    (57) A dot printer (1) is disclosed for effecting the print by ejecting ink in dots such that under the normal print speed mode in which the dot density is high, a standard amount of ink is ejected per dot, and under the high print speed mode, or draft mode, in which the dot density is low, a greater amount of ink is ejected per dot.
