    (54) A method for coloring a solid object and the coloring film used in that method


    (57) The present invention relates to a method for coloring a solid object and the coloring film used therein. The present method for coloring a solid object is essentially composed of the steps of: (a) preparing a coloring film having a base film(f) of a pliant material, a coloring layer (14) laid on the base film and an adhesive layer (15) laid on the coloring layer; (b) fitting the coloring film onto the solid object (11) so that the adhesive layer adheres to the outside surface of the solid object; (c) removing the base film from the coloring layer so that the coloring layer remains on the outside surface of the solid object adhering thereto; and (d) performing a hardening treatment on the coloring layer. The present invention also specifies a coloring film which is essentially composed of (a) a base film of a pliant material; (b) an peelable layer detachably adhering to the base film; (c) a coloring layer laid on the peelable layer including coloring material therein for representing a predetermined pattern; and (d) an adhesive layer laid on the coloring layer.
