    (54) Improvement in the composite closure caps with evidencing of the tampering


    (57) There is described a composite cap (10) for the closure of a container (12), with evidencing of the tampering, in which a plastic molded portion like a threaded ring (14) has a housing to accommodate a metal cover portion (16) provided with a sealing gasket (18) and is joined, at its lower edge, to a tampering evidencing (28) band by means of a set of breakable bridges. The composite cap (10) is characterized in that the tampering evidencing band (28) is provided with a continuous circumferential bead (30), facing toward the inside of the cap and designed to engage a rib (32) provided on the neck of the container, whereas the housing has a lengthened shape.
    Preferably, the continuous circumferential bead (30) has a V-shaped vertical cross-section with respect to the tampering evidencing band.
