    (54) Sealable dispenser, provided with overturning cover, for containing rollers of paper impregnated with a treatment liquid

    (57) A sealable dispenser, provided with overturning cover (2), for containing rollers (6) of paper or the like material impregnated with a treatment liquid, and for dispensing lengths (106) of ribbon unwound from said roller (6). The said dispenser comprises a box (1) of impervious comparatively stiff material, provided with an overturning cover (2). The mouth of the box is sealed by a removable sealing sheet (5). The front edge of the overturning cover (2) is provided with sidewise disposed abutment means (3) co-operating with means (4) on the front upper edge of the box (1), for defining a slit (7) for the passage of the paper ribbon (106) being unwound from said roll (6).

    Description

    [0001] The present invention relates to a sealable dispenser for containing rollers of paper, unwoven tissue, dry-paper, or the like sheet products soaked or impregnated with a suitable treatment liquid such as, for example, a detergent, deodorizing, polishing, disinfecting, spot-removing liquid or the like. Said dispenser comprises a box of impervious comparatively stiff material, provided with an overturning cover which serves also as a breaking member for the paper roll upon tearing off a length of paper from said roll, and further provided with a removable closure and sealing element.

    [0002] Further characteristics and advantages of the dispenser according to the invention will become more apparent from the following detailed description of a preferred embodiment thereof, made with reference to the accompanying drawings, wherein:

    Fig. 1 is a longitudinal sectional view of the dispenser according to the invention, with a paper roll therein;

    Fig. 2 is a cross sectional view of the dispenser of Figure 1;

    Fig. 3 is a cross sectional view similar to that of Fig. 2, with the dispenser in the opened condition of use;

    Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the dispenser of the preceding Figures, with the cover in a raised condition and the sealing sheet partially removed;

    Fig. 5 is a perspective view similar to that of Fig. 4, with the sealing sheet completely removed; and

    Fig. 6 is a perspective view of the dispenser in its utilization condition, with the cover in the lowered position and in the step when a length of paper ribbon is being torn off.

    [0003] With reference to the drawings, and with particular reference to Fig. 1, the sealable dispenser for containing rollers of paper soaked with a suitable treatment liquid comprises a parallelepiped-shaped box 1. Advantageously, the box 1 is made of plastics material, although any other suitable impermeable or impermeabilized material having a certain strength may be used, such as plasticized cardboard or the like. Said box is provided with an overturning cover 2 which is hinged to its upper edge.

    [0004] The box 1 accommodates a roll 6 of paper, unwoven tissue, dry-paper or the like, soaked or otherwise impregnated with a suitable treatment liquid. The paper ribbon 106 constitu ting the roll 6 is provided, in a manner known per se, with transverse perforated or tear-off lines for tearing off pieces of ribbon 106 of a given length.

    [0005] As appearing particularly from Fig. 4, for the purpose of preserving the roll 6 against the evaporation of the liquid impregnating it during the storage periods, a sealing foil 5 of aluminium, plastics or the like is fixed to the flanged upper edges of the box, for example, by glueing or heat-sealing. Moreover, the cover 2 of the box is provided, at the sides of its free edge, or front edge, with two projections 3, 3′ which, upon closure thereof, will be engaged into corresponding slots or recesses 4, 4′ formed in the front edge of the box, so as to provide a slit 7 between the edge of the cover and the co-operating edge of the box for passage of the ribbon 106. As shown in Figs. 5 and 6, once the sealing sheet 5 has been removed and the leading flap of the ribbon 106 has been pulled out, the cover of the box may be closed again and the ribbon 106 6 may be freely withdrawn through the slit 7.

    [0006] When a length of ribbon 106 is to be torn off along one of the lines or perforations, it is sufficient - after withdrawing the desired length of ribbon 106 from the dispenser - to exert a slight depression by the palm of a hand into the intermediate portion of the cover at the slit 7, thus blocking the ribbon 106 and preventing the roll 6 from unrolling further while the other hand tears off the length of ribbon 106 which had been previously taken out of the dispenser 1.

    Claims

    1- A sealable dispenser, provided with overturning cover (2), for containing rollers (6) of paper or the like material impregnated with a treatment liquid, and for dispensing lengths (106) of ribbon unwound from said roller (6), characterized in that it comprises a box (1) of impervious comparatively stiff material, provided with an overturning cover (2), the mouth of the box being closed by a removable sealing sheet (5), and in which the front edge of the overturning cover (2) is provided with sidewise disposed abutment and lock means (3) co-operating with means (4) on the front upper edge of the box (1), for defining a slit (7) for the passage of the paper ribbon (106) being unwound from said roll (6).

    2- A dispenser according to claim 1, characterized in that the box (1) is made of plastics material.

    3- A dispenser according to any one of the preceding claims 1 or 2, characterized in that said sealing sheet (5) is either glued or sealed on the perimeter of the edge of the mouth of said box (1).
