Improved combination kitchen apparatus

Abstract

 The apparatus comprises,in a single assembly, a dish washer,arranged at the bottom,an oven arranged above the dish washer and a cooking panel arranged above the oven,the controls of the dish washer and of the oven being arranged on a side of the oven itself.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

[0001] The present invention relates to an improved combination kitchen apparatus.

[0002] There are already known combination kitchen apparatus consisting of an assembly which comprises, at its bottom a dish washing machine thereabove there is provided an oven space.On the top of the two mention­ed elements there being arranged a cooking panel.

[0003] In these known apparatus,the control knobs or elements for the dish washer,oven and cooking panel are generally arranged on a horizontal band extending between the oven and cooking panel.

[0004] This arrangement causes some drawbacks,the main of which is that the useful height of the oven is necessarily reduced,since the control knob band has a comparatively great height.

[0005] Yet another drawback of these known combined kitchen apparatus is that,since the controls for the cooking panel are arranged on the oven front band,it is not possible to separate,during the installation step, the cooking panel from the underlying assembly.

[0006] A further drawback is that the control knobs are affected by the heat radiation from the oven,as the oven door is opened which may damage these control knobs.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

[0007] Accordingly,the task of the present invention is to overcome the above mentioned drawbacks,by provid­ing such an improved combined kitchen apparatus in which the controls members are arranged in a very reduc­ed space and with a very rational arrangement.

[0008] Within the scope of the above mentioned task a main object of the present invention is to provide such a combined kitchen apparatus in which the control members are easily accessible,even if the cooking panel projects for a distance from the apparatus casing.

[0009] Another object of the present invention is to provide such a combined kitchen apparatus including a high capability or volume oven,without remarkably increasing the overall size of the apparatus.

[0010] According to one object of the present invention, the above mentioned task and objects,as well as yet other objects,which will become more apparent herein­after,are achieved by an improved kitchen apparatus comprising,in a single assembly,a dish washer,arranged at the bottom,an oven arranged above said dish washer and a cooking panel arranged above said oven, characterized in that the controls of said oven and the controls of said dish washer are arranged on a side of said oven.

DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

[0012] With reference to the figures of the accompanying drawings,the improved kitchen apparatus according to the present invention,which is overally indicated at the reference number 1,can be constructed to be arranged against a wall,as shown in figure 1, and in this case there is provided a frame or outer cabinet or it can be constructed to be recessed,as is conventional,in a kitchen panel,as shown in figure 2.

[0013] In both embodiments,the subject combined kitchen apparatus is provided,at the bottom thereof, with a dish washer 10,thereabove there is arranged an oven 11,the cooking panel 12 being arranged above the oven.

[0014] A first main feature of the present invention is that the controls 15 of the cooking panel 12, which can be either or the electrical or gas type,or of a mixed type,are arranged on a side of the cooking panel,on the top portion of the appliance.

[0015] This arrangement is such as to facilitate the insertion of the combined kitchen apparatus into kitchen cabinets or furniture pieces,since it will be sufficient to remove the top panel of the cabinet 2 in order to insert the appliance under the continuous panel of a composable kitchen.

[0016] In this case the appliance will be able of separately operating,with respect to the cooking panel,which will be inserted into the kitchen conti­nuous panel,not necessarily above the appliance, since it can be disengaged from the dish washer-oven assembly,owing to the fact that it has indipendent controls.

[0017] Another important feature of the invention is that the controls 30 and 31 for operating the oven and dish washer are arranged on a side of the oven, with a substantially vertical arrangement,which affords the possibility of optimally exploiting in height the useful available space and,accordingly, with a greater inner height oven with respect to conventional ovens.

[0018] The side arrangement of the controls,in addition to providing a greater height for the oven has the advantage that said controls are not affected directly by the oven heat radiation as the oven door is opened.

[0019] Moreover,the side arrangement of said controls affords a greater handling facility as the appliance is recessed under a continuous panel and the latter remarkably projects.

[0020] As is shown in figure 3, the subject applian­ce affords the possibility of having maximum load height spans,which for the oven and dish washer are particularly great,thereby exploiting in an optimal way the available space.

[0021] From the above disclosure it should be appa­rent that the invention fully achieves the intended task and objects.

[0022] In particular the fact is to be pointed out that the separate arrangement of the cooking panel controls with respect to the controls of the dish washer and cooking panel affords the possibility of providing a cooking panel the position of which is free of any restraints related to the oven and dish washer.

[0023] Moreover the vertical arrangement of the controls in the side regtion of the oven provides increased useful easily accessible spaces.

[0024] In practicing the invention the used materials, provided that they are compatible to the intended use, can be any according to requirements.

Claims

1- An improved kitchen apparatus comprising,in a single assembly,a dish washer,arranged at the bottom, an oven arranged above said dish washer and a cooking panel arranged above said oven,characterized in that the controls of said oven and the controls of said dish washer are arranged on a side of said oven.

2- An improved kitchen apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the controls of the kitchen panel are arranged on a side region of said cooking panel.

3- An improved kitchen apparatus according to the preceding claims,characterized in that the controls of said oven and dish washer extend along a substantially vertical region.

4- An improved kitchen apparatus according to one or more of the preceding claims characterized in that said cooking panel can be arranged independently from said oven and dish washer.
