    (54) Vacuum heat treating furnace


    (57) In a vacuum heat treating furnace, the vacuum chamber (2) of said vacuum heat treating furnace is made of an aluminium material (aluminium or aluminium alloy whose main ingredient is aluminium), and the inner wall surface (2a) of said vacuum chamber is smoothly finished. A cooling means (9) designed to cool the vacuum chamber is optionally provided.
