    (54) Thermo-circuit

    (57) A thermocircuit made of rollable, extrudable or mouldable materials, electrically resistant, which are mechanically formable, with good malleability characteristics. It must be born in mind that the two dimensions of magnitude of magnitude of the plate are much higher than the third one, and by using two cylinders containing isolating sheets which coat both sides of a sheet made of electrical conducting material that is formed in a machine having a cutting head, getting finally a finished product that can be suitably used as a heating member.

    Description

    Object of the invention

[0001] The present invention refers to a thermo-circuit designed to provide a heating system shaped as a dry heater driven by low voltage at a low temperature.

    Background of the invention

[0002] It is known that at present a number of methods are used in electrical heating through some heating members applied in different shapes and installed in buildings, being called heating or radiating wires.

[0003] The heating or radiating wire is variously shaped, an used by mounting the heating wire through the ground or the ceiling of buildings.

[0004] This heating wire is base in a conducting wire that acts as an electrical resistance, and heats the areas in which is located.

[0005] It is known too the existence and use of electrical carpets based in inserting among their components some electrical rolled resistances, used as heating members in rooms and suitable areas.

[0006] This installation of rolled resistances located between isolating layers is used too in electrical carpets as a heating treatment in some diseases.

[0007] All the heating wires or radiating wires known in different shapes are basically designed as conducting wires acting as electrical resistances inside the surfaces to be heated, being isolated under layers of asbestos, isolating material or similar.

[0008] The making and use of the heating systems based in the "heating wire" or "radiant wire" have many disadvantages.

    1. It is necessary an industrial treatment which requires expensive materials.

    2. Restriction in voltages.

    3. High consumption, in spite of including a temperature regulator.

    4. All this means a high fabrication and marketing costs, and high energy price paid by the user.

[0009] Every above-mentioned disadvantage has hindered the diffusion of these systems, making difficult a wider application of this procedure.

[0010] It is obvious that if we consider, besides the advantages of this system, the easy marketing and installation of the materials, this procedure will be largely used, and it will not restricted to some unimportant applications.

    Description of the invention

[0011] The heating circuit of the present invention is a very simple solution, and has a low cost, being easily installable and having a low fabrication cost and a minimum consumption.

[0012] The heating circuit has a body made of rolled, extruded and moulded material having good malleability characteristics.

[0013] The heating circuit is electrically isolated from outside through layers having dielectric strength and high heat conductivity.

[0014] The design voltages are easily changeable from low to high levels within the range, obviously, of the low voltages.

[0015] Regarding to the present technologies for similar uses, as the radiating wire or the heating wire, the graphites and the conducting plastics, the invention disclosed in this specification is characterized and basically differs in the following items :

    1. - The thermo-circuit provides smooth surface distribution of heat, avoiding therefore high temperature gradients between the thermoelement and the environment, differing from the "radiant wire" system.

2.- The thermocircuit allows an extremely low voltage, and shows high security advantages.

3.- The design heating power allows a steady non discreet variability.

4.- The design and the materials afford to the system some mechanical features that are suitable for domestic and industrial applications.

5.- The operating limit with regard to temperature enables to this thermocircuit to work in the range of +/- 500 Centigrade degrees, with a versatility higher than for the present applications.

    Preferred embodiment of the invention

[0016] The thermocircuit, made of rolled, extruded or moulded materials, electrically resistent, is made using a monoblock machine to put the isolating plates and the conducting plate that has been previously shaped by rolling, mechanical cutting, laser beam cutting or punching, so that it has a cross-section suitable to the electrical current to be supplied.

[0017] We can say that the new thermocircuit is made by inserting a coil of rollable material in a machine, being shaped by the above-mentioned rolling, mechanical cutting, laser-beam cutting or punching means, being the conducting plate coated, in both sides, by an isolating material from two coils that are timed with the rolling, cutting or punching, made in the conducting plate.

[0018] The final product is a conducting plate, suitably shaped, coated in both sides, appearing the finished product as a new coil of a conducting plate formed and coated to isolate it in both sides.

[0019] The forming machine that fits the plate to the cross-section for the passage of electrical current for a given application, has a conventional head to cut mechanically or by laser-beam, having this cutting head some members that space the plate to be coated by the isolating layers from two different rollers or sources, resulting a material formed to be used as a heating thermocircuit.

[0020] The head where the forming is produced by rolling, cutting or punching, has some tools to space the plate layer, and if this operation was not performed, the plate would be connected and the object of the invention would not be achieved.

[0021] The application of this invention is simple and it can be used for domestic applications as dry heaters driven by low voltage current and operating at low temperatures.

[0022] The invention can be used as a heater aimed to medical applications to treat local pains, rheumatisms, etc.

[0023] As a bed-heater and an assistance of heating, through installation under the carpets, the invention can perfectly replace the infrared rays, gas driven stoves, electrical braziers, electrical convectors, and so on, avoiding risks of fire, burns and electrocutions due to the above-mentioned devices.

[0024] The invention is suitable for big buildings, offices, schools and hospitals, sports pavilions, prisons and lunatic asylums, because it avoids risks in centers where safety is very important.

[0025] These thermocircuits can be used too as heating systems in air conditioning installations, because their fitting in air pipes is very suitable.

[0026] In industry, the invention can be applied as means to heat and protect hydraulic pipes against frosts, as well as heating means for pipes for asphaltic products and tanks, so to fluidize when removing the products, for instance, in installations aimed to fuel oil stores, in which is the serious problem of keeping the tanks at a suitable temperature so to be able to convey the fuel oil from a tank to another for consumption.

[0027] As this system requires low voltage current, the safety increases and the maintenance problems decrease.

[0028] The thermocircuits can be used too in building to protect the concrete setting in unfavourable climatic conditions, avoiding the damage of ice that originates big problems if a quick setting is generated.

[0029] The thermocircuits can be applied too in textile industry, as textile driers using high frequency electrical fields.

[0030] This short specification will be understood by people that are skilful in the art, being apparent its advantages.

[0031] The materials, shape, size and arrangement of the components can be changed and modified when this does not mean a departure from the nature of the invention.

[0032] The terms used in this specification must be construed in a wide and non-restricting sense.
