    (54) Kickover tool apparatus


    (57) A kickover tool apparatus for use in placing and removing flow control devices in and from a side pocket mandrel (10), said apparatus having orienting means (60, 201), tray means (20, 230) connected to the lower end of said orienting means (60, 201) and having normally retracted kickover means (62, 240) mounted thereon, control means (61) for releasing said kickover means for outward movement, and said orienting means having upper and lower dog means (26, 92, 207, 213) that initially have a predetermined angular relationship to one another, and release means (85) reponsive to a change in said angular relationship of said dog means for releasing said control means (61).
