    (54) Blow molded one-piece bottle and method for making same


    (57) A one piece self supporting blow molded plastic container (130) having a generally cylindrical side wall (138) and a plurality of hollow legs extending downwardly from the side wall. The legs terminate in substantially planar feet (152) having radially outer edges (154) forming a non-continuous support surface engaging area having a diameter slightly less than the diameter of the tubular side wall. A generally horizontal center section (146) is disposed in the center of the container radially inwardly of the legs and merging with the inner edges (156) of the feet. V-shaped ribs extend radially outwardly and upwardly from said center section so as to circumferentially separate said legs.
