(57) A wiping article consists of two porous substrate layers sandwiching surfactant.
The surfactant is chosen so that its properties retard its release when the article
is wet and squeezed, hence avoiding initial excess foaming and lengthening the number
of times that a foaming solution of surfactant can be squeezed from the article. The
surfactant is chosen to have a Krafft temperature above 20°C and/or form a liquid
crystalline phase at temperatures above its Krafft temperature up to 30°C preferably
up to 50°C.
